A wider angled view of the Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Timisoara. It is located on the southern side of the Bega River on 16 December Avenue, address #13 / Piața Alexandru Mocioni nr. 9.

It is floodlit at night.

Chris, good pov to capture in the same frame : the green space, the belltower and the basilica. Timisoara has good surprises in store for the new visitors. Beautiful monument, remarkable architecture. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Hello Chris,
A great view of this square and the church as well as the large tower in the background. I like the similarities in the design of the towers. Their red colour also stands out nicely among the blue, green and yellow parts. The bushes were well included in the foreground, adding depth.

What a beautiful building and another architectural chapter to study and what fun to be exploring all these places. Love how the foliage jumps out, green in a world of baked yellow stonework creating such great a contrast. This is perfectly placed in the frame, every part is shown in great detail. Such a graceful edifice and you did it justice, Congrats

Les arbres cadrent bien la basilique. La prise de viue permet de voir les détails de la basilique de la Nativité de la Sainte-Vierge et de son clocher. La lumière fait ressortir la beauté des couleurs. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,

I was immediately struck with the question, " Why is it separated?"
Is one part the basilica and the other the bell tower?

Whatever the reason it is a strikingly different style from most cathedrals.
It is outstanding in its appearance and you have clearly illustrated its warm colours, arches and dome-like roofs.

Ces deux éléments sont parfaitement coordonnés au niveau de l'architecture. mais on se demande bien pourquoi car la basilique a déjà deux clochers. Superbe choix de point de vue.

a very attractive photo and scene for sure, I really like the set up with the Basilica in the left fg and the right bg or at least it kinda looks that way. excellent lighting in the lower fg, to make it pop. and in the bg too, its just a cool looking shot all around my friend

Although the bell tower and the basilica are separate, there is clearly a comprehensive architecture.

quite an extraordinary architecture of this church.
I don't recall seeing it before. The shapes of the towers are so unique.
Lovely presentation from very well selected angle here.
Great use of the vegetation as a foreground to add an elegant touch.
