My second wolf from Romania. Wolf shown from the light side:)

The Capitoline Wolf suckling the twins Romulus and Remus is a symbol of Rome, Italy. The statue was favoured by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, who donated copies of the statues to various places around the world. The original statue is in Rome in the Capitoline Museums and a copy on a pillar at the northern corner of Palazzo senatorio

The Capitoline Wolf Statue in Cluj-Napoca, Romania is located on Eroilor Boulevard, in the city centre on the banks of the Someşul Mic river.

Capitoline Wolfs are located in other Romanian cities: Alba Iulia , Blaj, Brad, Brașov, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Dej, Galați, Iernut, Leșu, Luduș, Maieru, Năsăud, Orăștie, Reghin, Săcele, Satu Mare, Sighișoara, Târgu Mureș, Târnăveni, Timișoara, Toplița, Turda, Zalău.

The building is framing well the statue. The point of view is showing the details of the Capitoline Wolf. The light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Piotr,

I hope you liked Timisoara. Lots to see in the town. From memory this she wolf and her human 'cubs' was in Victory Square between the Opera House and Metro Cathedral across the river, close to KFC. Tfs!

Rzeczywiscie, pamietam twoje poprzednie zdjecie wilczycy. Tamta byla na tle nieba, ale ta kompozycja tez bardzo mi sie podoba, zmieszana z otaczajaca architektura.
Dobre swiatlo, zeby pokazac szczegoly bez zbytniego kontrastu.

En effet, il est étonnant de voir cette louve légendaire en Roumanie. A la lecture de la note, l'on comprend mieux pourquoi.

This composition works very well because we see the statue of the wolf against the backdrop of such an elegant building. I also like the tight crop. Looking closely at the walls I notice that all windows look different, which gives a grey building an interesting variety.

Piotr, many sculptures representing the mother wolf feeding the twins copied from the original one in Italy exist in Romania i see. This pov shows better the two babies suckling her adoptive mum. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Framed to perfection here by placing the main focal at the thirds accentuated by its patina ensuring the eye is glued there. Love its aged look, general contrast and much detail within the limited frame work. Excellent capture and tx to your useful notes. Congrats

a wiec jednak nie zartowales :)
W zasadzie moznaby utworzyc oddzielny theme na TrekEarth Rzymskie wilki w Rumunii. Ale nie wiem czy ktos podazyl juz kiedys ich sladami...
Tego wilka pokazales na pewno w interesujacym otoczeniu chociaz szkoda ze odwrocil sie do ciebie tylem...

I guess there is a copy of this sculpture in brasilia, it was sent there when the city was inaugurated in 1960. nice details of the area around of the monument with windows.
