Photographer's Note

A colourful array of umbrellas strung high above a pedestrian arcade linking 2 of Timisoara's 3 main central city squares. This is between Victory & Liberty Squares. The other is Union Square. The umbrellas were gone by July.

Bonsoir Chris,

Le cadrage serré met les parapluies en évidence. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des parapluies. La lumière rehausse la beauté des couleurs. Bonne soirée.

This sort of hanging display has become popular, especially with umbrellas. There is a laneway in Sydney decorated with hanging bird cages.
Well composed the show the hint of an interesting building behind.

Great composition here, a great idea on the part of the city too. This is an ideal decoration set in a public place that gives the passerby's an impressive visual effect. Well seen and taken photograph, tfs.

Hello Chris,
The quite dark and intense colours of the umbrellas have a great effect when seen against the pale wall of the building. These displays of umbrellas hanging above a street seem to have become very popular in large parts of the world. Strangely enough I've never seen them in Sweden.

Chris, alleys covered by umbrellas exist more and more in different cities of the world. Their colors embellish the street. Original idea. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Chris,

I really like the idea of using umbrellas for colour and display, they add a sense of vitality and cheerfulness to an area.
I wonder how they manage to hang them, how long it takes but, it must be worth the effort!
I like how you have focussed upon them as the main features, with the large, dressed stones as a backcloth.
