Les Lipovènes:

La question que l'on se pose lorsque l'on découvre pour la première fois, au hasard d'une lecture, cette minorité slave présente en Roumanie depuis la fin du XVIIème siècle ou le début du XVIIIème. Il s'agit en fait des mythiques Raskol'niki (schismatiques) russes que, de Dostoïevski à Soljenitsyne, la littérature russe a tant mythifiés, certains diront que ce sont les Cathares russes, une description simpliste qui n'est pas si éloignée de ce que sont les Lipovènes, ou Starovery (vieux croyants) comme ils aiment à s'appeler.

Il est intéressant de constater chez les Lipovènes qu'ils ne nourrissent aucun mythe du retour en Russie. La Russie s'est pervertie en adoptant une série de réformes religieuses sous Pierre le Grand et le Patriarche de Moscou profondément hellenophile, Nikon. La série de violentes répressions qui s'est abattue sur ceux qui ne voulaient pas accepter les nombreux changements liturgiques, la destruction des textes apocryphes qui faisait des Russes le seul peuple élu, et finalement la fin d'un christianisme russe détourné par l'isolement de 3 siècles de domination tatar des dogmes byzantins, a fini de marquer du sceau du péché la « Sainte Russie ».

Lipovènes:

The question which one puts when one discovers for the first time, randomly of a reading, this Slavic minority present in Romania since the end of the XVIIème century or the beginning of XVIIIème.
It is acted in fact of mythical Raskol' niki (schismatic) Russian that, of Dostoïevski with Soljenitsyne, the Russian literature mythifiés so much, some will say that it is Cathares Russian, a simplistic description which is not so distant from what are Lipovènes, or Starovery (old believing) as they like to be called.

It is interesting to note at Lipovènes which they nourish no myth of the return in Russia. Russia perverted itself by adopting a series of religious reforms under Pierre the Large one and the Patriarch of Moscow deeply hellenophile, Nikon.

The series of violent repressions which fell down on those which did not want to accept the many liturgical changes, the destruction of the texts apocryphal books which turned into to Russians the only elected people, and finally the end of a Russian Christianity diverted by the 3 centuries insulation of domination tatar of the Byzantine dogmas, finished marking seal of the sin "Holy Russia".

First the note: I did not know about neither this minority nor this religious problem, and somehow you have make me think about the concept of religion itself related with today´s world situation. Second the photo: I like the sensation of dynammism, a moment stole to reality, like approaching to an unknown environment. Very interesting Francine.

Bonjour Francine,

je m'interresse de plus en plus aux portraits et j'ai de quoi faire avec ta gallerie, ici c'est drole car la dame a l'air éloignée alors que la main a l'air proche. L'ambiance est superbe ici aussi.

Salut Francine, Elle est tellement magnifique cette photo ét cette femme. Le mélange de couleurs est vraiment splendide, du couleur locale d'extrême haute qualité. La composition est également top avec une porte ouverte ainsi que le cadrage du haut avec les tiges. Tu nous fais découvrir un endroit avec des gens fabuleux, déjà bravo pour cela et l'image, je l'adore! Sabine

tu veux dire qu'aujourd'hui mon D70 est un descendant du grand patriarche de Moscou? Ho! mais ça me deplait bcp, car ce grand patriarche est un homophobe notoire! je vais peut etre passer chez Canon, finalement! ça devrait faire plaisir à certains ;-)

Plus sérieusement, j'aime bcp les couleurs et ta compo, mais suis moins fan du manque de netteté sur ton amie lipovene;-) Ta note rattrape le 2eme petit bonhomme vert pour cette fois.. mais n'y revenez plus ma brave dame! ;-)

It's a nice photo, but Jesus! What a note! Sin of Holy Russia, 300 years of repressions! Kicks at Dostoevsky and Soljenitsin alike! End of Russian christianity and so on and so on.
