the shot is coming really sharp and really conveys the intimacy between man and animal. Even the eye of the horse, shows, IMO, restfulness and trust, giving in to the mark of affection from the man, whose hands, sturdy and marked by labor, are also a powerful element in the image.

In this case I think that the image says it all. The bond between the animals and the man seems incredible, they both look so calm and happy, for me very important part of the image are the hands, they show what kind of life this person has and what type of person he is, tough, strong and loving at the same time.
IMO the image isn't only about the love between the two, it's about their life, life of many others just like them.
Composition is very good, technically no problems.
This is a very good image, it tells the life story.
