Challenge Bled Triathlon is feature one of the most scenic courses. The swim course is set in the beautiful Lake Bled, with a picturesque island and Bled Castle sitting enthroned above the lakefront. On the bike course, athletes will experience the beauty of the Triglav National Park with an exceptional route that runs along the stunning Bohinj Lake . With a total elevation gain of 1.100 meters and fantastic views on the Julian Alps. To finish off the race, the fast run course is set along the banks of Lake Bled and features a spectacular backdrop of the Julian Alps, Bled Castle and Lake Bled.

The Church stands in the middle of a field outside the village of Bitnje. It was first mentioned at the end of the 15th century, and it acquired its present appearance in the 17th century. The oldest roman church in Bohinj. The subsidiary Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bitnje is surrounded by a wall and stands in the middle of a cemetery. Its picturesque Baroque bell tower with a double bulb-shaped cap and a lantern dates back to the end of the 17th century. During the same period, the entryway on the west side was also paved with river stones. Old and steep stairs with a wooden shingle covered wall on the sides lead to the main entrance. One of the most interesting features in the church is the main portal from 1673, made from the green Peračica rock and one of the most important of its kind in Slovenia. There is also a more modest portal from the same period and made from the same rock on the south side. It is decorated only with a series of pearls.
