Photographer's Note

Maribor is the second-largest city in Slovenia and the largest city of the traditional region of Lower Styria. It is also the seat of the City Municipality of Maribor, the seat of the Drava statistical region and the Eastern Slovenia region. Maribor is also the economic, administrative, educational, and cultural centre of eastern Slovenia.

Maribor was first mentioned as a castle in 1164, as a settlement in 1209, and as a city in 1254. Like most Slovene ethnic territory, Maribor was under Habsburg rule until 1918.

The Drava or Drave is a river in southern Central Europe. With a length of 710 kilometres (440 mi) . Its source is near the market town of Innichen (San Candido), in the Puster Valley of South Tyrol, Italy. The river flows eastwards through East Tirol and Carinthia in Austria into the Styria region of Slovenia. It then turns southeast, passing through Croatia and, after merging with its main tributary Mur, forms most of the border between Croatia and Hungary, before it joins the Danube near Osijek.

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of this section of the castle. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

piekne cieple swiatlo ktore jeszcze udekorowalo interesujaca juz architekture.
Dzieki zywemu swiatlu rowniez odbicie jest atrakcyjne.
Wyglada na to ze albo zrobiles konkretny objazd dokola Slowenii albo tez jechales samochodem z Polski.
Koniecznie musze sie wybrac do tego fotogenicznego kraju.

cześć Piotrze, Byłam w wielu miejscach w Słowenii, ale jako s nie byłam w mariborze. A widzę, że warto. Miałeś tu fantastyczne światło. Odbicie tez piekne.
Jeśli chodzi o moją kolekcję miejsc UNESCO, to przekroczyła ona 400, a światowych stolic 77. Zachęcona Twoim przykładem wybrałam sie całkiem znienacka z R. i byłam bardzo zadowolona. Wszystko było bez zarzutu. Brak mi było trochę niezależności, ale wieczorami chodziłam sobie sama. To była wspaniała wycieczka. Polecam :)

Hello Piotr,
The sun illuminates the buildings and especially the round corner tower very nicely.
Their warm colours are well reflected in the river where the flowing water causes minor distortions.
