Photographer's Note

The Cathedral of Málaga is a Roman Catholic church. It is in the Renaissance architectural tradition. The cathedral is located within the limits defined by a now missing portion of the medieval Moorish walls, the remains of which surround the nearby Alcazaba and the Castle of Gibralfaro. It was constructed between 1528 and 1782, following the plans drawn by Diego de Siloe; its interior is also in Renaissance style.

Hello Sergio,
The trees frame the view well and helped you take a photo of almost perfect symmetry. The slight deviation of the branches to the right creates that unbalance that often makes a photo more interesting. The façade has several attractive and quite original features and technically it is also an excellent photo with fine contrasts and colours.

he visitado málaga hace muchos años, pero con muy poco tiempo para mirar algunas pocas cosas, creo que no he visto la catedral. curiosas las formas de la entrada con essas torres que parecem tener una base de colunas clássicas gigantes. hermosa composicion.

Hola Sergio,
Wonderful the frontal POV upon the cathedral façade, with the most notable the two cylindrical towers.
frankly, I do not remember seeing this cathedral on our visit on 06/1998, though it was a short stay in Malaga.

I remember that with the houses built quite close to the cathedral of Málaga it's not easy to take a good picture of the entire cathedral.
This splendid view upwards shows us well the beauty of its architecture and some of the many decorations.

A great photo of the cathedral from pretty close range, which shows the many great details and ornaments really well and clearly. This style of architecture looks really interesting. The frame by the green trees goes well with the yellowish walls.

I remember being very impressed by the cathedral in Malaga but also I remember it was difficult to take a good picture of it since the squares or streets around it were very narrow.
Great focus on an attractive fragment with richness of the details well seen here.
