Photographer's Note
Let me start the note to my first photo from Lanzarote with a complaint about weather, ha, ha. Yes, I am serious. I will start from the beginning. We just had a half term school break in England, and we booked for this time holidays in Marrakesh. Kasia was so lucky to get there and back, but just two days before my departure, Morocco cancelled all flights from the UK, Germany and Netherlands. I made a last-minute change to Lanzarote. If I only knew that Luis will be in the very same town on Lanzarote, I would arrive a day before to be able to meet with him. Unfortunately, he left the island on the day of my arrival. On our first day the weather was indeed mostly cloudy. We didn’t experience any rain throughout our stay so I can say we were so much luckier than on Madeira. But there were plenty of clouds, which too often obstructed the sunshine. Instead of a day of relax at the pool or a beach, which I promised to my daughter, we decided to head by bus to the main town of Lanzarote, Arrecife. A town is usually a better choice for a poor weather. In this photo you see the San Gines church. Area around this church is probably the most photogenic in Arrecife.

Hi Mariusz
Oh well, at least you didn't have to vacation in Blackpool! The sunlight here is reasonably bright and clear. Excellent sharpness and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
The Canary Islands are often presented as destinations that are sunny all year round. I've never been to this archipelago and still wonder what the climate is really like in our colder months.
If I'm not mistaken, Lanzarote is the easternmost island and would therefore be the sunniest and least green of the entire archipelago.
So I think it is very important that you write that at the end of October there were already a lot of clouds that often hid the sun.
I find first-hand information from someone who has been somewhere more important than what is so often written in guidebooks.
The clothes of the man on the bench confirm what you write.
The church and its bell tower look very beautiful and you frame them nicely with the overhanging branches, the cactus, the palm tree and other trees.
We also catch a glimpse of red flowers. The temperatures will most likely be okay.
I'm curious if there is any trace of the volcano eruption on La Palma visible on the island furthest from it. To see a plume of smoke, the distance will be far too great. But maybe sometimes black clouds blow over.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Mariusz,as I wrote, I was sure you would find good weather, even if you had to meet some clouds. Excellent choice to visit the city during a not very sunny day, this bell tower is very original and the capture is excellent, too bad for your missed trip to Marrakech, it will be for next time .. hehee .. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Mariusz,
Too bad you experienced such cloudy weather in a place where you would expect lots of sunshine. It is still a lively view of the church here surrounded by different shades of green. The two large white spheres make a good detail in the foreground.

Hello Mariusz,
You seem to be very unlucky with the weather which can be more of a problem for a young daughter than to a photographer!
Ha! Ha! Spheres seem to be the order of the day in town centres!
You have composed the scene very well, with nice, diagonal lines and the church tower occupying the thirds line.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
By coincidence you only missed meeting Luis, but I an sure you had enjoyed your alternate destination.
POV with several objects included, well chosen the spot.
Clouds aloft, but still had enough light for a bright picture.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hi Mariusz.
What a joy to see this beautiful postcard, from an angle where the cactus, the palm tree and those balls that adorn the square embellish this simple church, the photos that I took of it have another angle, the truth is that each one of us sees things from different point.
Arrecife is a city that I did not like, although the guide took advantage of the visit and I have some interesting photos.
It would have been fantastic to coincide for a day in Puerto del Carmen, I looked at the location of your Hotel, several times we walked around the area, ours Apartamentos Morromar was a 15 minute walk along the beach in the direction of the airport.
Wonderful image, with optimal sharpness, exposure and color, an excellent POV.
Photo very well done. I like it
Enjoy a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

the black volcanic stone is the same used in the churches of madeira island, but here the style of the church is different. excellent use of elements with these plants and spheres in FG.
