Photographer's Note
It was built by Alonso Cascales and is dated in the 15th century, also known as Casa de Azpiroz or Palacio de Cascales, it is a Mudejar palace. Built on the Morería, preserving some of its characteristic elements. Interesting patio with stained glass windows and stylized slate windows, which constitute a beautiful example of Flamboyant Gothic. Two of the windows, the ones on the right, were added in the 20th century.
The façade of this building is an example of Segovian sgraffito, something that is quite common on the facades of the city. The sgraffito is part of the Mudejar style heritage left to us by the Muslims. Its main purpose is decorative and also to be able to camouflage the possible imperfections of the facade. It is a style that is still used in the facades of newly built houses in Segovia, becoming one of the symbols of identity of the city.
It is currently the headquarters of the Territorial Development Service of the Junta de Castilla y León. The address is Plaza del Platero Oquendo,
It has a funny sign that we can see looking in front of the building in the left corner in which we can read "It is not allowed to leave carriages in this square under the fine of 5 pesetas". It is endearing to be able to read these types of posters.

Hi Lusi, only a small piece of the art of this palace, but enough to understand the work made to decorate every corner...the wall and the window are fantastic, a very useful close up very sharp despite the distance. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Luis,
It is a joy to watch the decorations covering every inch of the wall and the window. Such meticulous care has been invested in making this look beautiful. Just look at the window with all its tiny pieces of glass so elegantly arranged and neatly joined together, also creating an "abstract" reflection of something unknown to us.
It's a perfectly spotted gem and it's very neatly cropped.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Luis,
I recognized the Mudejar style but I didn't think of Segovia ...
The patterns on the wall are very beautiful. So are the decorations and the small columns of the window.
Nice reflected light in the glass.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Luis
Superb closeup work with some amazing sculptured stonework that made to last! The delicate detail with plenty of surface characteristics, the tones and the standout arty window really make the photo stand out deliciously. It's only well observed by keen eyes, a truly hidden beauty waiting to be captured. Fine work.
Best regards

Hello Luis, this is a lovely shot. We see the sharp relief of the sgraffito, with its lovely patterns, and framing the beautiful window with its pattern of octagonal and square panes of glass.
The reflections of blue on the glass make this an eye catching shot.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hola Luis,
Beautiful window so very elaborately detailed. Well spotted and presented. I laughed reading your note. I suppose people were having problems with carriages at that time.
Great continuation of the reportage from Segovia,

Hello Luis, What a fantastic window you spotted! Every detail is here beautiful: the old glass, rather stained glass, the columns, but also the framing. Marvellous.

Hola Luis,
This is utterly beautiful!
It appears like lace, imposed upon the surfaces of the stones!
The same scrolling patterns are repeated on the decorative window.
You have done a fine job of cropping this part of the building and capturing it with a sharp exposure.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
