Photographer's Note
With this photo that I dedicate to the memory of my great friend Chema, my travel companion for 40 years, I conclude this series dedicated to the city of Segovia.
It has been a bit long, but it brought back good memories, when we both made this wonderful weekend trip, I couldn't think that it would be the last trip, we would take together, the damn cancer took him away….
-------------------------
The Cathedral of Segovia has night visits, the itinerary follows the same stops as the daily guided tour: Audiovisual Room, Bell's House, Clock Room, but reinforced in time and explanation on the last level: the Bell Tower.
From the 47 meters of the body of bells the visitor will have the opportunity to contemplate or photograph the sunset and dusk from this privileged viewpoint and with a Segovia adorned by its lights.
After the tour of the tower, and as a novelty, the chapels and naves inside the temple are fully illuminated, to visually enjoy this less known experience until now. There will be a time to be able to walk them and photograph the play of lights in each of their corners.
In total, the duration of the guided tour will be around 90 minutes and will count, as before, with the accompaniment of an official guide from the Cathedral of Segovia.
--------------------------------------------------

Hola Luis,
I am so sorry to hear that you lost your friend and travel companion. 2019 seems not such a long time ago, wen he was still with you.
I have on TE also some night photos which I took with my nephew who recently died and these photos are indeed having a special value for me.
Beautiful photograph here, great way to commemorate your friend.
The illumination feels so hot against the dark surrounding.
Beautiful structure, amazing details and of course quite unique mood.
Excellent work,M

Hola Luis,
How sad that you lost your friend to cancer.
(My son works in a cancer hospital and I often wonder how he manages his emotions!)
However, this is a beautiful photograph to post as a memorial. The building appears to be made of gold, standing proudly and majestically against the dark, night sky.
I like how you have edged your photograph with a similar coloured border.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Luis,
I want to thank you for the beautiful photo series about Segovia. I've visited this city and yet many of your photos were a pleasant surprise. All very skillfully taken and presented.
However, it is a sad event that closes the series.
It's hard to lose someone you've known for so many years. Since you have travelled so much together, all these locations will always remind you of your friend.
Know that the memories that are still sad in these days will become very beautiful thoughts in the future.
My sincere condolences.
Paul

Hi Luis,I am very sorry for your friend, and when friends leave us, many good memories of travels together come back to mind, this was the last one and your choice of a night photo is a nice metaphor, the last light before of the eternal night, however a great photo, she will be happy with this celebration. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Luis
It's so sad. I know the feeling of hopelessness when friends and family are prematurely taken away by incurable illnesses. My heart goes to Chema's friends and family.
Beautiful photo to post as tribute. It's so easy to overexpose images like this but you got it spot on. Good crop too.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hi Luis
Excellent shot, tones are brilliant especially the glowing yellow against the black background. But I like the existing dimensions - gives the subject impact sitting in its blackness
