Photographer's Note

Another aquaduct, this time Segovia. This time I was not so lucky with the colour. The day was dreary and miserable. Yet what an incredible piece of engineering. The aquaduct carried water across this vast valley to a mountain top city. The people beneath it are dwarfed by its arches. Some 2000 years later it still stands in all its former glory. Awider angle lens would have enabled me to get the whole thing in, but at the saem time I didn't want to distort the perfect lines of perspective.
