Photographer's Note

Nos encontramos en la reserva natural "Garganta de los Infiernos", un importante enclave dentro del valle del río Jerte. Está formada por el sistema fluvial de la garganta de los Infiernos y el conjunto de sus afluentes, un paraje de gran valor ecológico y paisajistico.

los Pilones, una zona donde el estrechamiento rocoso del valle forma pozas y marmitas de gran belleza, formadas por la erosión que el agua ha producido sobre la roca.

En el WS un plano abierto.

gostei muito do close dessas águas cristalinas em contato com as bonitas formações rochosas. A composição está ótima e não há o que por nem tirar. Um belo trabalho, mais um!

Es dificil para mi encontrar buenos puntos de vista dentro de gargantas como esta pero hicistes muy bien por que es un compuesto con mucho interes, mejor que el plano abierto. La detalles estan excelentes y me gusta mucho el color del agua que parece helada.

Hi Ros,

This is one of those images I really like and then have a hard time defining why. I think the layers of tone make a striking thumbnail .. (and that unfortunately is getting more and more important) .. I think the look down the steep bank is unusual and has this effect of putting us there with you .. I almost graphical layers of grass/ water/stone. ... the beautiful cyan color in the water.. the beautiful textures and tone you have presented in the stone .. all of this comes together to create a wonderful image.

This is a beautiful place ... the colors of the boulders and water is just spectacular. It is quite inviting to jump and have a swim. Well captured and presented. Overall colors are very natural and the sharpness of the image very good too. Excellent work! tfs

Tambien conozco los pilones, fuimos un fin de semana por la zona, dormimos en un hotel enfrente del cruce de los pilones, fuimos por la mañana andando hasta los pilones, fue un paseo muy agradable, pese a que nos caia una fina lluvia. Estoy intentando recordar ese viaje, me parece que al dia siguiente fuimos por el parque de Momfrague antes de venir a Avila.
Si sigues de los pilones para adelante, dejando el rio a tu izquierda, llegas al puente nuevo, puente que atraveso Carlos V cuando iba camino de Yuste para su retiro.
