Photographer's Note
This is the cloister, the gothic cloister, of the ugliest cathedral in Barcelona... and the only one.
Difficult light and exposure. I handheld the camera and shot. I made the best I could but maybe I wasn't enough.
But I hope you like it.
The graphism and the architecture are quite interesting and I liked the colours. What do you think?
Besides, people from Barcelona, what do you think about Santa Maria del Mar called as "la catedral del Mar"? And do you know how was the cathedral 150 years ago?
1986-1987: the cathedral
1910-1920: the same cathedral
and some curiosities of the city

Hola Carlos,

Belo registro!

Hi Carlos,
Definitely a great image and great architecture. Its really difficult to get a sharp image in 1/15th sec. Splendid colors and the exposure id very well managed. I have taken the liberty to do a workshop for this image as it deserved.

hola carlos,
guess what - I started reading this book this morning :)
I like the perspective a lot - it beautifully emphasizes one of the features of Gothic architecture, verticality that is.
at 1/15 is also quite sharp - maybe I would have tried to burn the top right corner (in Photoshop I mean), to reduce the overexposure. but it's a minor thing :)

Hello Carlos,
You chose clear for a vertical perpective, this is not always the most beautiful solution.
Nevertheless this is your picture attractive with depth and nice ceiling.
Composition and color are very well.
Excellent presentation too. TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hola Carlos,
Saludos,
Sonsoles

Hi Carlos! A place that gives the interior a height of image width is fantastic. The use of wide angle was perfect for the occasion. Impress and directed towards the sky, look! I like the symmetry and deformation as a result of the excellent technical

Vaya tela...

Hi Carlos
Very nice perspective and good architecture details
I invite you to try to use ShiftN for perspective correction, but you shall need to take a wider view for not loosing field.
Kind regards

Hi Carlos!
Well ... I was in Barcelona a few times, but the third link attached to "terror" only a few remember. The royal palace is completely obvious when I was there, you can not understand, either architecturally or functionally. It was all a work in progress.
Of course - if we are looking for - in every city there are terrible things ... We can think of is also experimenting with man and the architect, you can either succeed or not ... :-)
Because I am grateful to you. Nice picture, nice link. It .. How can I tell you ... human.
Have a nice weekend

Hola Carlos,
Josep

Hola Carlos, if you say it's the ugliest cathedral, I can't see that in the picture. Very creative angle and graphic perspective. Much better to see this structure of candles than the crowds of turists. Interesting images of the cathedral from the past.

Hola Carlos
Not easy exposure for sure & that too with a POV looking upward! The vaulted ceiling has been captured well, but its the inclusion of the metal structure on the floor, which makes this unique

Bonjour Carlos

I really like this shot. I don't see anything wrong with the light or exposure. It all adds atmosphere. With the rampant use of photoshop and the like we have lost the honesty of an image. This is honest and the colours are great and I like that.
