Photographer's Note

The wall of Girona goes through the medieval town of the city. Over the centuries, the wall has expanded which has allowed the old town to grow exponentially. There are several points from where you can go and take a walk through the small gardens and alleys coming out of it. The views are fantastic from the top of the wall, highlighting earth-colored roofs, several bell towers and large buildings. It's clear where the medieval city ends and where the most recent districts begin, as the wall is horseshoe-shaped. In addition, the Onyar and the Ter rivers also mark out the line of the wall.
