‘Olvera - Andalusian landscapes’
Driving around Andalusia you can sometimes think that the landscape isn’t that impressive.
However, when you arrive on a slightly higher terrain, you start to think differently.
Often the orchards with olive trees provide beautiful patterns in the landscape.
Some of the best viewpoints on my last trip were in Olvera, Setenil de las Bodegas and the well-known Ronda.
I show here five pictures taken in the immediate vicinity of Olvera.
Some photos were taken from the square where the church seen in my previous pictures is located.

Typical Andalucia scenery, Paul, well taken with a long focal.
There are several millions of olive trees, some are shown here from a high POV.
Have a nice friday,
Ike

Hello Paul,
The combination of an elevated view and nice houses favoured this as the main photo. But all these pictures show a fascinating hilly scenery filled with olive trees and here and there small cottages. I guess, as you indicate, that travelling through this area in a fast train you may not fully appreciate the beauty of the scenery, ever looking the same mile after mile. These photos show that given time and patience the charm and beauty will reveal itself.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Paul,

Hi Paul,
This is indeed impressive. Dry looking brown terrain dotted with countless olive trees. Tree patterns give good idea of land forms. That simple house is well placed. One might think that the landscape wouldn't look so dry in May.

Hello Paul,
This is a nice set of landscapes, but I like the main photo because of the white houses. They seem so alone in this vast space, but it might just be an illusion created by your POV. There certainly are a lot of orchards in this area. Take care!

Salut Paul,

Hi Paul,
Fantastic collection of Andalusian landscapes. The trees make such great repeated patterns and you have well captured them here.
Each photo deserves a separate presentation. Yes I would be very excited in a place like that and would take hundreds of photos as well.
Excellent presentation,
M

Hello Paul, it seems to me that every available piece of land that can be farmed is, hundreds and thousands of olive trees. Then every now and again there is a huge ‘lump’ of rock that has to be worked around!
Thank you for all the shots.
Excellent work.
Kind regards, Jean.
