Photographer's Note

Vale of the Jerte is a region of the Autonomous region of Extremadura (Spain) placed in the Province of Cáceres. His capital, as administrative center, is the municipality of Plasencia.

The Vale of the Jerte is between two mountain ranges: the Saw of Tormantos to the southeast and the mounts of Traslasierra to the northwest, where one finds the highest point of the region, the Calvitero, which height is of 2410m. These two saws belonging to the Central System constitute his natural limits.
In any occasion the vale has his magic, but his autumns are special when thousands of red cherry trees dye of fire his hillsides. Such is the beauty of this singular tree that, in April when the snow begins to move back, his white flowering floods the whole vale producing an optical illusion difficult to forget for the visitor.

It offers to the visitor a landscape alternation, giving him the possibility of meeting again with the nature, being able to cover the innumerable gullets that descend abruptamente from the mountains or to penetrate in his leafy forests.

Nice open country Ros, I am getting closer but am not there yet, I am still trapped in the city. Your shot is very nice and inviting and the valley seems to go on for ever. Nice color and detail, good capture.

La presencia de los cerezos en primer plano le dan una buena perspectiva y profundidad a tu foto, es un precioso paisaje que has captado desde un excelente POV. La composicion es muy buena y me gusta mucho el contraste de sombras y luz en las montañas.

Hola Ros,
very lovely landscape and the shadows by the clouds create a dreamy mood. The workshop with the single tree should have been a posting too.
The clouds here have a good contrast. I would prefer a bit different cropping, even not knowing the whole scenery. In my perception the trees in foreground should be less cutted as it appears here with the front row and the one at right. The middle slope seem to have less contrast.

Hola Ros!

Al hilo de lo que te decia el otro dia, si bien es la Mancha la tierra española que parece aglutinar la mayor cantidad y variedad de paisajes espectacularmente bonitos, no es la unica! Conozco esta tierra, de pasada lamentablemente, y es otro ejemplo de impresionante colorido.
Una composicion excelente la que has utilizado aqui, ensalza aun mas la belleza del lugar!

Que paisagem linda com todas essas cerejeiras em primeiro plano e muitas outras lá atrás. As cores estão lindíssimas e muito naturais e a composição é muito boa.

Olá Ros,

simplesmente linda vista! Essas cerejeiras e suas flores de cor branca são o principal atrativo na imagem. Contornam o morro criando desenhos interessantes. Ótima captura. A cada foto sua de sua terra, fico com mais vontade de visitar a Espanha!

a wonderful landscape with the opportune inclusion of the blooming trees in the foreground giving a joyful introduction to this image. The surprising low f/ might have compromised a little bit the overall sharpness of your photography.
