Photographer's Note

There is not much to say about this photo from one of the parks on Södermalm island in Stockholm. I took it simply because I liked the autumn colours. Even the wooden fence and the roof of the house had adapted to the season.

Interesantan i lep pogled, dobar tekst ...
Lepa ograda, zeleno drvece i kuca, dobro pokaznao sa lepim bojama, kontartsom i perspektivom.

A good upward pov and unusual too, for the fence rather than the house being painted red. The Autumn colours of the tree atop the hill look great against the blue sky backdrop. Good sharpness too. Tfs!

I known not that the plant are very dangerous
The wood fence on the slope makes your picture attractive.

Hello Gert,

You mention the colours of the house and the fence, which certainly co-ordinate with the autumnal mood but I like the shadows, too. Some are strong lines crossing the fence and the path, whilst other are very soft and dappled. They sort of add life!
You have composed the scene beautifully, taking advantage of the path and the strong lines of the receding fence.
The focal tree looks golden in the sunlight.

I hope people will not start to think all of Stockholm looks like this. Old house at the top of a hill is charming. Autumn colours look great and the red fence makes a nice diagonal across the frame.

nice colors in this compo. the red wall is an interesting detail, here rarely this color is used in walls, the waving fence is another aspect here. nice view.

Hi Gert,the photo is very strange, I thought it was leaning to the left, but the trees are straight and only the house causes this effect. A half mystery in this colorful composition, with the trees and the fence offering great brilliance. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Red fences are popular in Sweden as well as red houses. A good photo of the fence winding its way up the hill towards the autumn colours.

Hello Gert, a neat composition with the wooden fence leading our eyes to the green house.
The light is lovely, highlighting the autumnal colours as well as creating some interesting shadows.
Bare trees against the sky already, even though it is only October in this shot.

Hello Gert,
In this photo too, the falun red of the fence is a colour that is an eye-catcher.
Together with the autumn tones of the foliage and the blue sky, the fence makes for a very colourful picture.
Beautiful are also the many shadows in the foreground.
It remains remarkable to me that in trees that are standing close together, some have already lost all their leaves while others still have a full of colourful foliage.
I see the same where I live. But at the moment autumn is not that far advanced here. However this week it will suddenly get a bit colder...

This doesn't look like a city view at all; I would have guessed that this house was out in the countryside somewhere. The bold red and green colors are lovely, and they remind me of the Christmas season. :-) The autumn trees are nice, too. Take care!

Hi Gert,
this reminded me my photo which I titled "green house effect" and which you have commented on. I suppose the title would be suitable here as well.
Sometimes it is not that important what we show buy HOW.
This is a creative composition with vibrant colors and interesting geometry.
Beautiful autumnal mood. I like autumn especially when it is a warm and sunny one like here.
