Photographer's Note
Most probably not many of you will like this composition but I post it anyway. If you decide to watch it you should probably see the enlarged version in a new tab.
This was taken a few minutes after the last photo I showed you of an old shipyard. There is another glimpse of that to the left.
I was walking along the northwestern shore of Södermalm island when I found this... act of vandalism...? ...or maybe a work of public art...?
Probably someone found this abandoned bicycle and for some reason decided to destroy it as much as possible. But I couldn't completely rule out that this was not a work by a modern follower of Marcel Duchamp or someone inspired by the Dada artists of 100 years ago who questioned the established norms and tastes.
If you look carefully at this photo you will also find the inevitable abandoned electric kick-bike to the right, at the twist of the boardwalk. In the far distance is the medieval former royal burial church, Riddarholmskyrkan.
A closer look at the modern public art is in the WS.

Witaj Gert neighbour :)!
A very nice view, A sad end to this bike, it can hardly be called street art.
I like composition and framing, tower add flavor to this picture.
Nice colors.
Well done.
Good morning.

Pozdrav.
Interesantan pogled, dobar tekst ...
Zelim vam lep i uspesan dan, sve najbolje.

Hej Gert
I like the soft pastel colours and the novel way of securing a bike to the fence. Too bad about the handlebars! The boardwalk adds good depth and perspective and I recognise the Knight Island Church in the bg. Tfs!

Hello Gert,
I had mixed feelings after reading your notes.
First, I thought this was a fine photograph, the bicycle making a strong f/g feature, orientated on an opposing diagonal to that of the fence. The fence is an excellent guide line, leading us to the pleasing b/g areas of boat yard and city scape. (The w/s is good to but doesn't have the lovely depth of this shot.)
Then, I registered the wanton vandalism!
I see it happening at times round our village, something that very rarely happened before the Covid lockdowns!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

I am certain this is no art, not for me, Gert.
Someone left his/her bikes tied to the railing - other people ddf not like it.
Anyway, this trail looks as a nice place for photography, I can be there for hours especially as a tourist in new town for me.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Gert,
I am happy that also in your country are vandalism, Ghent is an university city, everyday get we the same scenes with bicycles.
I like your panorama view with city in background.
Excellent composition, nice presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,

Hello Gert,
I recognized Riddarholmskyrkan immediately but I had to search for the electric kickbike.
Could the abandoned kickbike and the handlebarless bike ever become friends? Both were left carelessly behind in society.
Here in Södermalm some trees still have a lot of foliage.
The clouds catch the last rays of sunlight and reflect it softly in the water.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Gert,
The length of the fence is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the abandobe bike and of the boats. The light is gving good colors output. Have a nice day.

gert
here in my town it would be robbed in the first nigh by the addicts to get some money, maybe even the fence would be stolen.
a version in B&W would be more artistic I guess. anyway nice details, sometimes these elements have an artistic touch.
take care

Hej Gert,
Det er lige præcis noget min far også altid tager billeder af! Cyklen ser meget kunstig ud her og det ser nærmest ud som om den danser med hegnet langs det stille vand. Det centrale Stockholm danner en fin baggrund.

Hi Gert
This one is a good puzzle. A good view along the water from the possible work of "art".

Hi Gert,it is really a shame to see such things, but unfortunately it also happens to me, where stealing bikes and abandoning them is part of the habits of overly rude young people. And here they also proceeded to destroy it. A sign of the world that has changed for the worse, nice idea of the combination with some work of art, only the title is missing .. "homage to stupidity" would be perfect. Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Dear Gert,
Maybe throwing it into the water would have been far easier if the perpetrator aimed at destroying something. So I support the artwork theory. Anyhow, the resulting image is very good, showing an excellent composition with an iconic building, which I think I have already seen on your photos.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Gert,
You remember well that we walked the upper path, not close to the water. This path also looks nice but maybe the views from above are better.
Here we see just one bike with some stolen parts, but look here:

Nice view of the boats and the Riddarholmskyrkan but I prefer the view in the Workshop.

Hello Gert,
I am going to vote for vandalism. The WS photo clearly shows the bicycle lock that the owner used, but some thief stole the handles (probably quick-release). I am surprised the front wheel and the seat were not stolen. If this were in the US, only the frame would be left.
Regards,
MT

Hello Gert,
From an old shipyard to a rather ... every bike's owner 'nightmare'.
If I see my bike like that ... for sure I'll be very hysterical !!!
Since it's not mine ... I find it rather 'Amusing' !!! The weirdest of all, someone forgot about the saddle and wheels ??? , is it what you said all along ... an Urban art to an unknown artist ? Another words, the culprit who got away unnoticed :-)
I do like the railings ... leading me to a rather nice dock to sit , like you said ... 'Rest and recuperation' :-)
Thanks for sharing this 'urban art' I often see here too.

Hi Gert.
A splendid composition that highlights and the photo of the WS highlights it even more from the vandalism in the cities and the appropriation of the alien, poor bike without pedals, without handlebars is already just a useless junk.
I love the perspective of the wooden walkway by the sea with a beautiful perspective at the bottom of the city and the church with an imposing name that I liked so much,
Wonderful image, sharpness, exposure, colors and POV are excellent.
Photo very well done. I like it
Enjoy a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.
P.S. Thank you for the work you took to remove the cable from my last photo, it was ideal, I did not do it because I thought it would take a long time, but the work was worth it.gusto.

...here comes the ubiquitous kick bike again... :-D
I suspect it's an act of vandalism on an abandoned bike or a bike abandoned after an act of vandalism. We see a lot of those in London.
But the photo is a work of art - I like the focus on the bike and the out of focus iconic view of Stockholm in the background. Lovely colours in the sky, also reflected in water.
It's also a good sequel to your shipyard image because of the circle in the foreground.
The saddle may have been stuck and too difficult to take off.
