At first I thought this might have been a deer, then an elk and I finally settled on a moose. It was an unexpected sight in a walk around Gamla stan. I have no idea why it is wearing a foxhead mask and a crown.

Hi Chris,
Very original shop sign. Besides that strange mask it also shows a crown and a few pines. And wood as a material is not common either. I wonder what kind of business it is related to.

Hello Chris,
This is not the kind of deer graffiti I referred to in my note, that used to be found on the back side of street signs. I have no idea where this is or what the strange moose symbolizes, but it's a nice sign with interesting details more easily observed in a larger version. Why are there trees growing on the horns, and why is it wearing a royal crown?

Great photo of this wooden sign with the shape of this crowned and masked moose on it. You caught it in great sunlight and against a nice blue sky.

Nice photo of this intriguing board. This is a riddle that you or Gert will be able to figure out and then report back to us. I don't know which commercial establishment this sign was in, but the moose, foxes and pine trees evoke nature as it is. I have no idea why the mask however.
