Looking up again, a photo from Lvivska, West

Photographer's Note

It is so much easier to take a good photo of a ceiling inside a church. No, you don’t have to look up -you can just place the camera on the floor and use long exposure with self-release button. Other directions require a tripod, or a camera with high ISO setting, or being very creative how to immobilize the camera while having a good view through the lens.

I have already shared with you two pictures of the former Bernardine Monastery in Lviv one of the exterior and one of the interior.

Bernardine Order is a Polish version of Franciscan Order. I think they wear brown clothes as opposed to black Franciscan clothes. We have actually in Poland both orders coexisting together. Currently the church and monastery is owned by Ukrainian Greek Catholic Basilian Order. This church has a jaw-dropping Baroque interior, probably the richest among numerous beautiful churches of Lviv.

Oi, Mariusz!

Na maioria das igrejas por aqui é proibido tirar fotos de seu interior. Uma pena, pois a maioria é realmente linda. Sorte a sua poder fotografar um painel tão bonito quanto este! Os detalhes são incríveis, assim como os desenhos. Cores bonitas e ponto de vista bem escolhido. Simetria interessante.

A fantastic photo of this monastery and its beautiful paintings on the ceiling. The columns on both sides guide our eyes very nicely up to the soft colours lit by a gentle, pleasant light. Great photo.

Super bonne idée , je pensais mieux que tu était coucher sur le dos :-) le cadrage est parfait, la netteté, les couleurs , la bonne gestion de la lumière, une église très riche en décorations vue aussi sur le lien, magnifique
Ma maman ayant récemment eu beaucoup de problèmes de santé, j'ai annuler les vacances au Portugal !!

Looking up is one of my favourite directions for some unexpected and interesting scenes, especially churches and castles gives often beautiful results like this splendid picture full of ceiling and wall frescos. I also like the strong perspective in the scene.
