Photographer's Note

The strikingly beautiful town of L'viv, in Western Ukraine, is even more magnificent to behold from the imposing bell tower of the town hall. Here, the visitor is treated to sweeping 360 degree views of the undulating landscape, punctuated by the spires of dozens of churches.

Pictured at left in this shot is the Church of the Blessed Eucharist, a Dominican church dating from the early 15th century. At right is the Dormition church, the main Orthodox place of worship in L'viv, which was constructed in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

Hello Brian!
That's a very interesting and pretty beautiful picture!
Sharpness, exposure, depth of field and natural colors are excelelnt!
The high and privileged pov was a great choice for this image! Lucky you! The composition is simple but truly effective, successful and with quite attractive visual results over the rooftops of Kiev!
By the way, I'm always glad to see pictures from Ukraine because my father's father was born there, although I've never been to that Country! Maybe one day! While that doesn't happen, here I am enjoying wonderful pictures like this one of yours!

Hello Brian,
Very beautiful view on the roofs and the churchtowers of this city. If the picture is taken in the centre of the town, the green hills aren't far away at all.

The view of the rooves is very attractive especially as the red contrasts with the greens. Lovely light too. I'm quite amazed that the background is so sharp at f/4.

Very beautiful and colored view on the rooftops of L'Viv !
It's amazing to see such a variety of colors with roofs. The sharpness is very good and light and brightness of the churches rooftops give them an aspect 3D very nice.
I don't know Ukraine and I'm happy to discover it with you.
