Photographer's Note

This is a photograph of Dunham Mill on the Dunham Estate. It was built in 1616 by 'Old' Sir George Booth as part of an improvement plan of the Dunham Estate. The Dunham Estate had been the home of the Earls of Stamford since 1758 and were directly descended from Hamon De Massey, who established himself in the area around 1100.

this view is from the forest but next time i will get a differing perspective..

Great! Here the wonderful play of light and shadow dominates the scenery. The buildup of this one is very skillful, this row of oak personalities at the right and the curve of the way create an excellent depth here - nearly a 3D effect. A beautiful place ...

This old forest is really beautiful, as the aging trees takes on a greenish tint...
A well composed presentation, a fine feeling of depth in the frame and the autuimn is very much evident!
