the standard walk..'round rydal'..takes one through wooded areas which to some extent are being cleared of old trees
some remain and are pleasant mottos of the greater forest which used to be here

A very good point of view looking down the valley. The scene is very redolent of the English countryside in winter with lovely soft light and colours. A pleasure to view.

Please forgive me, but I like your pictures from the United Kingdom the best. These landscapes simply are great and you have a special eye to photograph them. This one is another proof. A wonderful place ...!

I have to agree with 'Buin' . Your Portugese shots are excellent, but the sensitivity of shots by 'mrcrow' in his natural habitat is something very special. This tree, with its trunks
caught in the sun and surrounded by its maze of delicate branches, stands out just enough from the background of soft green and brown without appearing detached from it. The light is lovely and the sky retains its wash of pale blue. I am so familiar with this type of landscape, but I never capture the essence of it like this!
