On a cold but clear winter morning the moon was still in the sky as the suns rays spread slowly across the snow covered ground,bringing a soft pink glow to the landscape of West Devon.

Hello Leslie ;
I'm not totally convinced by the frame . Biut the picture itself is wonderful . Not so easy to catch this kind of poor light . The composition is splendid , with the naked trees and the moon perfectly placed . I like a lot the snow in the FG , with one pink part , and the other one in the shade .

Hi Leslie.
If I block out the frame I see a beautiful and subtle picture of morning light in a well composed photo - very delicate, elegant, and given so much depth by the presence of the moon.
I think a simple white frame would look better, but that's just my opinion!

A well composed shot, but what is especially aappealing is the lovely lighting that has an ethereal quality to it. The presence of the moon is the cherry on the cake as they say. I find the frame a little distracting, but then I am not a fan of frames:-)

Hello Leslie,
A minimalist landscape and a brilliant picture. The light is wonderful and not only on the snowy field but also in the sky and on the trees. I specially like the shapes of the branches of the left tree with the warm light on and on a splendid background of a light blue sky. The moon is placed ideal.
Several people make a remark about the frame. I think this frame is a very nice attempt to something different and fitting. Sometimes I also try out something different with my frames. Imagine all pictures had the same black frame ...

The minimalistic picture is superb; its composition is perfect and the colors are awesome.
However, and as mentioned by Denis, the frame is way too distractive for me.

Happy New Year to you and your loved ones. I hope it brings you every happiness...and of course lots of travel and great photies. But to your photo, definitely one of my favourites from your Gallery. It's so subtle, the light perfectly exposed and the colours so soft and romantic. A masterful shot. My only criticism is the frame. A shot this superb has no need of one at all, it detracts from the superb quality of the shot. Personal opinion maybe, so I hope it doesn't offend.

pink light and purple shadow are beautiful so much,
these are the excellent colors of the winter morning indeed,
and that still moon and widely spread branches of trees are well contrasted and composed to make wonderful view,
