Photographer's Note
A piece of art entitled 'Foal' by Emily Stone.
The reason that I have given this title to my picture is that this sculpture is so cleverly created, that it shows how our brains fill in the missing lines and shapes to inform ourselves that this is a foal.
"Emily Stone creates her Copper Creatures from her workshop in Dover, Kent.
In 2001 she started sculpting full-time, and since then has exhibited widely around Britain.
She is artist in residence for 2022 at Herstmonceux Catle, West Sussex."
(Delamore Catalogue)
Two more shots in the workshop.
Looking at these shots, I maybe should have spent more time so as to get a clearer outline, but it was quite difficult with the surroundings of the trees etc.,
Thank you for looking.

Hello Jean,
Both WS add minor complements to the main photo, but I agree with your choice of this slightly wider view. I saw this sculpture in the background of your last upload and hoped you would show it next. This view confirms what a delightful work it is, beautiful and funny and inventive. I think this angle gave you the best light. I enjoy this post very much.
Best regards,

Hi Jean,
You are right, all these welded forms give a good idea of the nature of a young horse. It is funny how the neck almost disappears to background foliage. This garden is lovely, the lawn is not too lean.

Hi Jean,in fact this work is a demonstration of how our imagination can complete the missing piece of the work, it is not difficult to think of the head but the artist has caused a great effect. Three beautiful photos from different angles to best show this interesting work. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Jean,
Even though some part are missing, this art work can only represent one thing indeed. A good photo of it from a nice angle. The green grass and leaves and also some charming blue flowers make a great backdrop.

Hi Jean
yes, this one is hard to compose because there are empty spaces in the artwork, so its hard to get it to look easy on the eyes.
it almost looks like the head is floating there. The WS help out too. another interesting subject, gotta love it
cheers

Hello Jean,
It is true that this work of art expresses well the ungainliness of a young foal with its long legs and big feet.
Strange that almost the entire neck was omitted with the exception of the mane.
Beautiful photos with the bluebells around the artwork.

Hi Jean,
I would like to be able to focus on my hobby full time as well.
Maybe I should have learned how to make sculptures out of the metal junk instead of choosing career in science...
Nice work of art and you included some bluebells for decoration as well.
Very interesting reportage,

Hi Jean,
The sculpture is very clever. It seems to be made of bits of scrap metal but it certainly conveys an image of a foal. I like the little bluebells in the grass. You could have underexposed the photo a bit to try to avoid burning out the sky and saturating the colours of the vegetation.

a curious sculpture made in recycled metal, interesting as the artist used this missing parts to create something more different.

Hello Jean,
When I looked in miniature, it seemed to me that the head was separate, but here I see the neck and the mane. Delightful piece of art, nice bluebells.
I have seen so much of art objects in London, in many museums and also in the open air. And what fantastic garden with flowers. Quite a problem what to choose to show.

Hello Jean,
One of the nicest sculptures in this park. The thin mane connects the body to the head and is not readily apparent in the thumbnail. Good angled rear view with perfect sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Jean.
A splendid composition with this fantastic work of art, which is certainly very original, the foal looks magnificent in that wooded environment and the green carpet of grass dotted with blue flowers, the other two WS photos give us two other great frames.
Excellent POV, with very good lighting, color and sharpness to enjoy the details.
Very good work. I like it
Enjoy a happy Sunday.
Very best regards.
Luis.
