Photographer's Note
Gothic cathedrals have usually quite impressive, richly decorated interiors and so I was very curious to see inside the Beverley Minster. When I arrived at the church I was depressed to notice a message saying that it is only open Monday to Saturday until 15:00. It was Sunday afternoon. I continued to walk around and I noticed that a side door is open. Since the Sunday service was about to start I was stressed to take as many photos inside as possible. I regret I didn’t close the aperture tighter here. I wanted to photograph the part of the ceiling with the organ pipes (see info below). It would be a much better photo if I could get centrally under the tower, but there was an altar table there and some fencing around it so I hesitated to put my camera on the altar.
Beverley Minster Organ
In the Beverley Minster there is a large, chestnut-colored organ with gold pipes that gleam like the morning sun that was carefully crafted with precision and care by John Snetzler from 1769. There have been subsequent rebuilds and restoration by William Hill & Sons in 1884, and by Hill, Norman and Beard in 1962–63. The specification of the organ can be found on the National Pipe Organ Register.

Hi Mariusz
super super super!
Oh i really like this one.
you mentioned how you wished you could have done better, but man, this is great the way it is.
fine attention to symmetry, and the color contrast of the dark brown is the key highlight as it stands out so well.
love the UP pov and the depth, wonderful overall clarity too.
cheers

Hi Mariusz,
You should make no apology for being unable to achieve the viewpoint you wanted because, in my opinion at least, this is a beautiful photograph with an immaculate symmetrical composition which displays not only the magnificent organ but also the magnificent ceiling and supporting pillars.
The light is beautiful as are the subtle colours, your exposure is perfect and the details and sharpness are exquisite.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Fajne sklepienie. Leżałeś na podłodze? Idealna symetria, ostrość jak brzytwa.
Pozdrawaim Małgorzata

Hello Mariusz,
excellent POV looking upwards to the Organ and arches, not an easy task and you did fantastically good.
Light management was also perfect.
Wonder why they always post the Organs on the high level? saw this in several cathedrals already.
have a nice new week,
ike

Czesc Mariusz,
pozdrawiam
Piotr

Hi Mariusz
Must be amazing to hear...
I recognized the organ straight away even from this unusual angle showing the immense detail, pleasant clarity and smoothness of colours. The symmetry forces the eye to fully concentrate on the subject matter. Great capture, Congrats

Hi Mariusz,
A good upward pov with marvellous repetition of the vaulted ceiling arches. Incredible perspective with the 4 banks of columns supporting the roof all starting in the corners. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz,
Excellent picture of this typical Gothic ceiling. I often take pictures like this in several churches, but every time it is not so easy to find the right angle for your picture.
I like the severe symmetry in this composition and you position exactly right under the center of the construction.

Hello Mariusz,
Spectacular, this view of the cathedral ceiling, showing us some beautiful ribs in their vaults, while the vision of the columns increases the prospect, the organ is an element of beauty in the set.
A nice very natural color.
Too much sharpness, such as lighting are great.
Well taken photo. I like it
Enjoy a good day.
Best wishes.
Luis.

Hello Mariusz,
We are always saying 'look up!' And you have obviously followed the trend!
You have captured what many people miss, the exquisite details of the ceiling.
I like how the pillars add to the pattern, one minute, then can be suggesting perspective, the next!
You have done well with the light; the colours and the details show up so well, not easy to achieve internally.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Ciao dear Mariusz
I like the extreme wide angle POV here. The symmetry and perspective are really impressive. I know you're not overly impressed with your shot here, but you should be. In low light conditions you have made a real beauty here.
Thanks for sharing and I wish you a beautiful week

Dear Mariusz!
Ale super zdjęcia.
Mega ostrość. Jak Ty to robisz, ja bym chyba tak aparatu nie utrzymała. Jestem długa i chuda, słaba w rękach. Świetny kadr, co za geometria. Fajna robota. Dobry pomysł na kwadrat.
Well done!
