This was taken at around 6pm from Royal Observatory, London. It was very cold on that time and I put my camera on top of a small wall with a 2sec timer.The tall building is Canary Wharf Tower which is the tallest building in the UK.It is around 244 metres high and covered in stainless steel.

Greenwich is a district in south-east London, England, on the south bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Greenwich. It is best known for its maritime history and as giving its name to the Greenwich Meridian (0° longitude) and Greenwich Mean Time.
The laser beam from Royal Observatory into the sky is to show the path of the Prime Meridian. The meridian marks the international timeline. The path of the meridian runs in a circle through both poles and past the Millennium Dome. Greenwich was voted as the location for the Prime Meridian of the world - zero longitude and the basis of the International Time Zone system - by the International Meridian Conference in 1884.
The lasers, designed by US Company Spectre Physics, are suspended in the roof of the building, seven meters above the precise location from where time was once measured.
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) evolved as the world's official time reference and served the purpose until 1972. But the development of super-accurate atomic clocks saw the new Co-coordinated Universal Time (UTC) adopted internationally from 1972.
