Photographer's Note
A view of London's Shard reflected in a glass faced building on the north bank of the River Thames.
Looking like some huge slide puzzle - in the workshop a bit of fun!
The Shard is the newest skyscraper to grace the City Of London skyline. Standing at 1,016 feet (309.6 meters) it opened on the 5 July 2012. The Shard is the tallest completed building in Europe. The tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck – the UK's highest – on the 72nd floor, at a height of 804 ft (245 metres).

Hello Brian,
now this is an imaginative presentation of the Shard and it works very well for me,I enjoy the blue tones of the original nearly as much as the WS.
Great fun.
Have a good day.

Hello Brian,
Who as a child has not played with a set of sliding tiles? An unusual capture of the shard perfectly presented. Great photography.

Hello Brian
A sharp shot of the shard! (sorry...) Creative interpretation and it does indeed look like a slide puzzle. Personally, I prefer your workshop image. It has more visual impact for me and is far more creative, though I totally understand why you might refrain form uploading it on TE given the sometimes conservative character of the audience.
Enjoy your bank holiday.

Ciao Brian
bel colpo, ottimo occhio e bellissimo effetto.
Preferisco questa versione a quella del ws.
Una bella verticale blu, con uno splendido riflesso che da un buon senso del movimento.
Saluti

this is really an eye catching shot Brian. The summation of reflections gives us a nice and almost complete view in an abstract way. Excellent. Tfs.

Hi Brian,
I'm amazed I have not seen so many more pictures here on trekearth, it's such an iconic and impressive building. I love your take on it here, it's wobbly reflection in the window and it makes me think of the Burj Khaleefa in Dubai. Fascinating image, thanks for sharing this one.
All the best

Ciao Brian
una foto sorprendente perchè fuori dai tuoi soliti schemi, ma nello stesso tempo efficace per rappresentare una realtà della Londra moderna, inquadrata in maniera poco convenzionale.
Piacevole anche il colore e più che indovinato il titolo.
Complimenti
Ciao e buona giornata

Hi Brian,
I must say the newest addition to London´s skyline looks magnificent seen through your lens.Really creative approach to the subject!
Just love theese distorted reflections of the building and dominating blue color scheme-both things make your presentation really awesome!
PS.You should get at least 2 points more for WS.The image and the way you processed it are a masterpiece for me!You could post it as a main photo as well.
Kind regards

Hi Brian,
I never even knew of its existence before visiting London last year for the first time, and as soon as I saw it across the Thames from where I was taking pictures of the Tower Bridge, I was immediately intrigued. Unfortunately with only one day at my disposal, it was a mad dash to cram in all of the "hot spots" possible. I so wanted to go in for a closer look...but for now I'll admire your take on it's unique and interesting design.
Having seen so many other pictures before of this fine building, I'm liking this one the best for its concept of reflection...distorting the view in a new way, a fun way! I really like what you did with the WS too, that looks great! Wonderful presentation, glad you perceived it in this manner. Have a great day ahead.
Friendly regards,
Jason
To touch on your note about Jackson Browne...inspiration comes in many forms, and this is a great example! :)

Ce reflet te donne l'occasion de proposer une image déformée très originale du Shard.
Le travail de PP du WS est amusant et intéressant.

Hello Brian,
Love both this one and the WS. The reflection certainly makes the Shard look strange - almost like Gaudi architecture! Clever composition - TFS.

Hello, Brian!
Great reflection of the building on the glass, distorted, which makes the picture even more interesting! Very good colors and a perfect framing to show it! Wonderful job!

Hello Brian,
Congratulations for this very good job. There is not distorsion (except for the Shard's reflection on the windows, of course!), and the blue tones are very nice.

Hi Brian
I just love this image! Very creative and at the same time technically perfect with all the elements of the "puzzle" carefully placed in the frame.
The one in the WS is also very beautiful.
Have a lovely weekend

Hello Brian,
An innovative approach to photographing the impressive Shard buildıng, using reflectıons to convey the image. Kind of looks lıke a Rubiks cube puzzle after completion! Good sharpness and the grey wındows at the bottom add ınterest and break the monotonous patterns ın a good way. Tfs!
