Photographer's Note
Alnwick Castle, in Northumberland taken one evening in September. The weather was perfect - blue skies with a hint of cloud for contrast, and almost no wind to disturb the reflection in the River Aln.
Alnwick Castle has been home to the Dukes of Northumberland - the Percy family - for hundreds of years. The Castle itself has been used as a backdrop for a number of films and televison programmes, including the recent Harry Potter movies, and the opening sequence of the first Blackadder series.

Wonderful colours and detail. Fantastic exposure too. You've managed to get a really good refelction in that lake and the wispy sky complements the subject perfectly. The only thing I don't like is that heavy black frame - it dwarfs the picture itself and distracts me too much. But that beautiful side light is the real winner here. It absolulutely perfectly picks out the castle.
