Photographer's Note
Taken in my home village of Warkworth, in the North East of England, this shot shows the Castle, with its famous Daffodils which bloom each year in April on the Castle mound.
The earliest parts of Warkworth Castle date from the 12th Century, although the Keep, shown in the shot, is mostly 15th Century.
I used a Polariser for this shot, to darken the blue sky, and saturate the colours.

Nice picture. I would suggest a slight tilt CW to "verticalize" the middle sections of the Castle and a slight correction of perspective

Very nice shot. I like the colours, the composition and the castle, itself, is very pretty.

Beautiful image of this castle, likes me the illumination, the combination blue-clouds, green-daffodils, and the perspective that it unites sky and earth. Greetings. *Ninfa Urania*

The polarizer worked well James, this is a nice punchy shot well matched to the dramatic perspective employed which imparts a nice sense of power.
Well done

You have captured a beautiful spring day and the colours are fantastic (although I almost find the blue sky too intense). It would not have looked as impressive if it had been a dull overcast day.
I think it could look a little sharper so I have created a WS - I hope you like it. But I think I lost too much detail using Neat Image.

This is the image at Wikipedia. Submitted by you, I see. And it should be there, it soars above most user-submitted Wiki-photos. Truly splendid.
