Photographer's Note
This is a village church in Leicestershire captured on a walk on a rare sunny day this February. It was shot in RAW on various different exposures and this is the one I preferred.

Emilius

Dear Joy,
I was attracted by your beautiful composition, and since you wrote that accepts aid in Photoshop I tried to do a little editing:
with the levels I've increased "out put levels" up to 28, after I made a small cut on the left side to balance the church right in the center, I took out three branches of the tree that were unnecessary and I increased a little bit a sharpness, and finally I added a small vertical frame that is always good with an architectural subjects.
I hope you like it!

Hi Joy. It's all there: a pinch of melancholy,a dollop of history, a sprinkle of beauty and the essence of Britishness. I love the POV which takes us from the shadows amongst the tombstones to the light of the steeple.Nice use of the tree. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Joy,
Atmospheric shot that suits the subject.
Excellent use of the surrounding tree to frame the church. I like the tombstones in the foreground and the autumn leaves. Good light, slightly subdued and perfect cloudy sky as a canvas for such a scene.
Cheers!

Hello Joy - Wonderful light on the warm mellow stone of the church and the tree makes a lovely frame for the shot. I like the softly saturated colour as it suits the image perfectly. TFS Best regards Rosemary

Hi Joy. A photo nicely as in the photo magazine. Composition and colors are best. The branches in the upper part of the picture give the photo depth. Above all, the fantastic light plays a major role. Overall, a beautiful and worth seeing photo. Well done. Rgds, Wolfgang.
