Photographer's Note
Taken yesterday on a beautiful clear still day in the Yorkshire Dales. Semerwater sits among snow dusted fells giving entrancing reflections in it's clear water.
It called my mind a poem by J.R.R. Tolkein about "Mirrormere" a lake in Middle Earth.
But still the sunken stars appear
In dark and windless Mirrormere;
There lies his crown in water deep,
Till Durin wakes again from sleep.
It was a magical day, I hope you enjoy the image.

Hello Martin,
this is a magical picture indeed. The framing makes the composition of layers of colours and diagonal lines very appealing. The exquisitely sharp and still reflections enhance the magical atmosphere. I like very much the two rocks in the water, the way they are lit and reflected and the way they match the snowy peak above them.
All the best, have a nice week,
Ourania
