Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
I'm sorry not to have been so active recently but I seem to have such a busy schedule!
Anyway, today I am sharing a photograph of a jackdaw on my bird feeder!
For quite a while, these birds have watched the smaller, garden birds, visiting the feeders and eating seeds. At first, they gathered beneath the feeders and collected any seeds that were dropped. Now, they have perfected the skill of hanging on and quickly feeding. (They are such intelligent birds!)
They are difficult to photograph as their wings are flapping constantly for balance but I hope you can understand how these birds have adapted so quickly.
I will add a workshop of another regular visitor.
Have a lovely weekend, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Both photos are wonderful. Especially the main one is fascinating for the position of the bird and its flapping wings. It looks so elegant, and the plain background allows us a clear view. Jackdaws, ravens, crows and all their close relatives are supposed to be smarter than many mammals, vey good at learning things, finding out for themselves, recognizing people etc. The bullfinch is really nice too. They were among my favourites at our feeders long ago, especially in winter when the males looked so bright against the snow.
Kind regards,
Gert

A great capture, Beverley, the bird was bussy so did not noticed you with the camera.
Well lit picture, vividly presented and fine sharp outcome.
Wish you a nice weekend,

Hi Bev,
The scene is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the Jackdaw. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Bev, Marvelous view of the birds at the feeders. what is there inside? Sunflower seeds? There are birds that come to my garden too but I am always afraid that the neighbors' cats will hunt them. superb compositions.

Hi Bev,
Impressive bird with wings spread wide open while it is balancing on the feeder. Amount of motion blur looks just right. I like to watch these birds, always active and carefully watching what's going on close to them.

Hi Bev,
This is quite a surprising visitor to your birdfeeder! It is definitely too big bird for it ha ha.
It must be quite smart though. I remember seeing some attempts of bigger birds to get to the birdfeeder but they were never successful.
Great capture with perfectly spread wings!
Excellent quality work,
M

Hello again,
This one too is a worthy photo that would sell on a nature shot competition. I like the added green on the right.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Beverley,
This jackdaw has apparently taken lessons from hummingbirds :)
What a beautiful costume the bullfinch in the WS has.
Excellent clear and sharp pictures!

Hello, Beverley!
I'm back after a long time away from TE! Perfect capture of this flying bird, with excellent sharpness! I've been trying to put food to the birds in my house, but my dogs don't let them come close often. Light and colors are also beautiful! Very well done!
