Photographer's Note
Carrickfergus Castle is one of the best preserved medieval structures in Northern Ireland. It was built in 1100's and it was used as a garrison for about 750 years until 1928 when its ownership was transferred from the British Army to the Government of Northern Ireland. Tuoday it is open to the public. The banqueting hall has been fully restored and there are many exhibits to show what life was like in medieval times.

Hello Kari,
Quite impressive. Anything from the Middle Ages always tickles my imagination. When such an old structure is preserved like this, it becomes really interesting. I like the inclusion of the sea in the foreground.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Kari,
A great photo of this old castle, which offers a clear view of the central tower and the lower surrounding walls. There is a gentle warm light illuminating the place and which makes it stand out well from the cloudy sky.

Hello Kari.
Superb image of this powerful castle, with a great Homejane tower and high surrounding walls, its location on the edge of the sea adds a lot of charm.
Sharpness, lighting and color are well managed.
You have a good day. Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello kari,
Well photographed this fort despite the low light / gray sky aloft.
A stronghold massively built and kept till late century, as written.
The painted windows and each old brick, boats and foreground quay, immaculately shown.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike
