Photographer's Note
Not the most original shot and not the most original title. Durdle Door on Dorsets Jurassic Coast. A spectacular place to visit at any time of the year. Long exposure 180 seconds.

Hi Adam, Wonderful scenery and colour with a superb point of view, just to confirm, did you have the shutter open for over 2 minutes? it must have been quite dark then?, what aperture did you use?, i love how it all became nice and sharp, well done again and all the best, regards, Salas

Wow this is a great shot.
I saw very similar shot in my geography textbook last year describing costal erosion.
The sea is a very striking colour, tranquility is the perfect word to describe this scene.
Well done.

Hi Adam
I'm not original too but very great picture. Very nice colors and the long exposure make the sea flat.
Congratulations.

Good composition - I like how the arch juts in from the bottom left and is matched at top right by the cliffs with the edge of the sea acting as a diagonal dividing line. The light is mellow and nicely understated and contrasts really well with the sea.
For me, the thing that makes this photo stand out is the texture of the sea. That long exposure has worked very well and the sea looks like mercury.
Nice to see a picture of this place with no people on the beach!

Hi Adam,
a long wait to get you back to TE with your so typical photography. I agree with you that this is certainly not your best shot but still in the range were I would be proud to have in my gallery. I have the impression that you could have lowered the sky by about 1/3 focalizing more on the shore and sea.

Hi Adam. The title is perfect, the water looks so calm as if frozen, you have captured the light beautifully & a gorgeous blue tone, I love the overall composition, the arcing of the shore line is excellent & the cliff with it's arch to the left is positioned perfectly, great shot, kind regards Wilson.
