Photographer's Note

Taken a couple of days ago in possibly my favourite Dorset coastal location. Mupe is a fantastic little spot, full of jagged rocks, rockpools and sea stacks. As in other parts of the Dorset coast, the geology here is fascinating.

And the best thing about Mupe is its seclusion. As you have to walk for a bit to get here, you rarely find anyone else on the beach. Perfect for completing the atmosphere of this remarkable place.

This was taken just as the sun was about to disappear at the end of the day, its glow just about catching the side of the rock in the foreground and the stacks on the horizon. I had to balance on the crest of the pointed rocks to get this one, the ever incoming tide creeping up around the boots. But it was worth it.
