Photographer's Note

Isfahan is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the Islamic world. City of legends and origin of civilization, the metropolis is the third largest in Iran after Tehran and Mashhad, with nearly two million people. It is a lively and given to the warmth, full of culture and invaluable contributions to the list of World Heritage sites.

If anything they are proud inhabitants, regardless of their preciosity mosques, is its wonderful medieval bridges, more than a way to cross the river or connecting edges. Ifahán bridges themselves constitute a circuit visitors must pass through Iran. The river crosses the city Zayandeh and eleven bridges over it reflect part of everyday life, family outings, confessions among friends, of quiet talks on some of their tea.

On all bridges of Esfahan highlight three, by their nature, their years, their peculiarities ... The Si-o-Seh Pol Bridge thirty-three arches, built in 1602 and whose low, almost touching the water the most famous teahouse in the city. This bridge is one of the most traffic of the city.

The bridge Khaju, commanded by Abbas II building, say it is the largest and the most beautiful. Built on two levels, can be lost by one of his veiled disfruatar with privacy hallway and the beauty of the river. The picture I show you today is made of this bridge, the lowest height, which is where most enjoy the proximity of the river.

We arrived at Sharestan, the oldest of the bridges of Isfahan. Stone and brick of the twelfth century. Smaller and more distant from the center of the city, the bridge is a little gem Sharestan small and delicate, however, involves all the strength of the Islamic Middle Ages.

Isfahán es sin duda una de las ciudades más hermosas del mundo islámico. Urbe de leyendas y origen de civilizaciones, la metrópolis es la tercera más grande de Irán, tras Teherán y Mashhad, con casi dos millones de habitantes. Es una ciudad animada y dada a la cordialidad, llena de cultura y con valiosas contribuciones a la lista de lugares Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Si de algo están orgullosos sus habitantes, al margen de sus preciosistas mezquitas, es de sus maravillosos puentes medievales; algo más que una forma de cruzar el río o de conectar orillas. Los puentes de Ifahán constituyen en sí un circuito obligado para el viajero de paso por Irán. El río Zayandeh cruza la ciudad y sobre él once puentes reflejan parte de la vida cotidiana, de paseos familiares, de confesiones entre amigas, de tranquilas charlas en algunas de sus teterías.

Sobre todos los puentes de Esfahān destacan tres, por sus características, por sus años, por sus peculiaridades… El Si-o-Seh Pol, el puente de los treinta y tres arcos, contruido en 1602 y en cuyos bajos, casi tocando el agua, la casa de té más famosa de la ciudad. Este puente es uno de los lugares con más trasiego de la urbe.

El puente Khaju, mandado edificar por Abbás II, dicen que es el más grande y también el más hermoso. Construido en dos alturas, permite perderse por alguno de sus velados pasillo y disfruatar con intimidad de la belleza del río. La imagen que hoy os muestro esta realizada en este puente, en la altura mas baja, que es desde donde mas disfrutas con la proximidad del rio.

Llegamos al Sharestan, el más antiguo de los puentes de Isfahán. Piedra y ladrillo del siglo XII. Pequeño y más distanciado del centro de la urbe, el puente Sharestan es una joyita pequeña y delicada que, sin embargo, encierra toda la fuerza del medievo islámico.

Bonjour Luis,

J'aime beaucoup la texture que tu as donné à l'image. Ces très belles arches qui se répètent à l'infini donnent tout un effet de profondeur à l'ensemble. Les gens semblent apprécier.

De alguna manera la imagen le falta un poco de nitidez, pero aún así lo reparte gran forma de la bridge.Very foto bien compuesta, con excelentes colores vivos.Estupenda toma con gran POV, la composición y los colores. TFS.

A good scanned image although frankly I feel it's a tad over pp treatment. A strong perspective with the arches leading the eye towards the infinity and human presence do add to the scale and immense depth. Such an excellent choice of viewpoint, focal length and dof that enhances the appeal and charm further of this magnificent architecture combined with excellent comp, textures, tones and the feeling of age. Great shot, Congrats.

otra antigua foto que nos hace compartir contigo tu gran espíritu viajero a través del mundo.
Este famoso puente, que he visto aquí gracias a alguna foto de los amigos iraníes, está captado mediante un eficaz encuadre, utilizando la fuerte perspectiva de sus arcos como un elemento compositivo para dar una gran profundidad a la imagen.
Además, la presencia de la gente añade vitalidad y nos hace ver que es un buen lugar para el descanso y la charla relajada.
Era y es un bonito trabajo.

tu nota ayuda mucho para entender la foto y me imagino que la gente usa los soportes cerca del agua para relajacion y conversacion...... a decir verdad nunca he visto una imagen como esta.
Lo mas que miro lo mas que me intriga ? como llega la gente a estas divisiones del puente y donde estabas vos cuando tomaste la foto..... si ya se .... vos estabas en Isfahan..... Ja Ja

Iran is certainly very interesting.
I would like to visit Esfahan someday.
The photo quite old and quality less perfect than yours usual uploads but nevertheless it is a great composition with the repeated motif of the arch.
