Two days ago, I shared a photo of this mosque from the right angle. This post shows the front view.
Farahabad Mosque is a part of Farahabad historical complex that was built during the Safavid period (Shah Abbas I) with the architectural style of Isfahan school. No historical inscription has been found in the building, but its construction is estimated to be around 1616 AD. The Farahabad complex, where Shah Abbas spent parts of his reign, included a mosque, a bridge, and a world-famous palace, of which only the mosque survives due to its popular location. This mosque is located 25 km from Sari and 2 km from the Caspian Sea. Wikipedia

Hello Ali,
I am used to seeing beautiful tiles or mosaics covering old Iranian mosques, so these plain grey walls are a bit surprising. But I like these plain walls too, and the plants in the foreground provide the colours that the building lacks. This is a nice and symmetrical composition, but it seems to be leaning a bit to the right.

Hello Ali,

I recognised this mosque immediately, from your previous post.
It is good to see the mosque from this viewpoint, where we can appreciate the symmetry, the pool in front of the doorway and the cobbled pathway, a very effective, textural guide line.
As noted by Gert, it is unusual to see a mosque with such a plain facade but, that is how it was built!

This front view of the mosque is very nice as well and I really like the symmetry with the two towers on each side of the arch as well as the small bushes in the foreground. Well done.

Hi Ali,
Yes, I was able to recognize this chatracteristic facade which you have presented from a different angle before. The central symmetry alwys has its advantages. Maybe pity that the light was at the back -I would prefer to have the architecture lit with the direct sunlight.

HI Ali,a very particular architecture, the central part is typical Iranian while the two side towers are very reminiscent of European castles, I had never seen a mix of this kind. Excellent front capture and great details despite the difficult light. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano
