Sunset through a tree branches, a photo from Sharon, Central

Photographer's Note

Visit an afternoon to Netanya waterfront promenade while the sun was setting at 16:37 local time.

The Shaked (Almond, in translation) promenade stretches along the limestone cliff for about 5km from north to south quarters of this sea-front city.
Found this elevated POV where the big tree enabled a silhouette against the golden ball of fire.
Approx. location at 32.3315, 34.85 n the map.

Converted RAW, F6.3, 1/200, ISO100.

A tremendous sunset with fantastic silhouettes and superb sharpness. The warm colours in the sky contrast well with the subdued cooler tones of the sea. Tfs!

Hello Ike,
You made sure to place yourself well and to wait for the right moment to capture the sun in exactly the right spot. But even if the sun had been in another position the peculiarly twisted branches of the tree would have been extremely eye-catching against this amazing background. It was in every way a fine moment for photography.

Hello Ike,

I really like this, it is very well observed and beautifully composed, almost like an etching!
The silhouetted tree, with its sinuous shape, makes a most gorgeous, lace-like impression, with the pale golden sky as a very effective b/g.
The sun is a focal point, though the rest is all still so important.
