Photographer's Note
As I mentioned before the elevation of the Dead Sea is -396 m. On the way up from
Lowest place on earth ,
there are elevation signs on the roadside. This one says -100, which means 100 meters more to climb, and 500 more in order to get to Arad, the region's only city (elevation = +400m).
The tilt of the road is real, the blue line is leveled.
Colors are real, same as the grains on the road, which is a combination of desert dust and asphalt.

Oh' it looks very familiar, when I see this number on my way down, I always smiles, this is a way to a great place!
Very good picture, you have a little problem with the bright light of a very strong sun.

I really enjoy the Dead Sea series, Itzik - this is an entry that excels in textures and contrast, and has a surprising graphical element contributed by the blue line and the -100. Good use of the various horizontal layers to arrive at a pleasing compositional result.

A fine compostion, with great textures and a great reminder of this special place - Before your shots would I have guessed the minus altitude to be less the 100 meters - thanks for learning us about this special place - visitited by many Danish people with pseoreasis (a skin desease) miss spelled - properly.

Very nice catch Yitzhak. I like this fully layered composition very much. The lines/layers monotony is broken by the -100 inscription, very well positioned in the frame. The bricks also bring some structure in the picture, this is very well done.

simple and engaging, the slightly soft foreground makes this image flat, an effect i like a lot in this shot. the lines are nicely angled. this desert series is not what expected! Well done.

I know people here always want the perfect 100, but -100? that's a new concept :) Nice graphic photo, and excellent choice of frame.

Nice shot of these rocks here, it looks a little over exposed, but it is a good shot nonetheless

An interesting and informative shot, Yitzhak. I really like the way you added the blue border, as it making the 100m line appear to be part of the frame. Good colours and textures in the brick wall. Well seen.
