Sunset over Israel II, a photo from Irbid, North

Photographer's Note

A nothing special sunset taken from the roof of my hotel in Umm Qais. The cloud has acted as a partial filter. Not much can be seen of Israel from this distance but the minimalist composition and colour merited a photo. I have softened and blurred the grain in the shadows.

Hello Chris,
I take your word for it that this shows Israel, otherwise it's just a sunset, albeit a remarkably bright and dramatic one. The darker parts would have got very grainy, so you did a good job cleaning them up.

Bonjour Chris,

J'apprécie le sjeu entre les zones éclairées et les zones ombragées. La prise de vue permet de voir certains détails des nuages. Le coucher de soleil donne de belles couleurs au ciel. Bonne journée.

Hello Chris,
A wonderful sunset view with beautiful dark red and orange colours in the sky and a great contrast with the dark clouds and the silhouettes of the trees. The sun was well included in the left hand side of the photo.

Hi Chris,
Sunsets or sunrises are a separate class of photos and rarely we can easily include something stunning around. It is usually more about the colors of the sky and whether we are lucky to have some interesting cloud pattern and decorative silhouettes. Here you had all you need and the round shape of the sun was well preserved.
