The "Treasury" at Petra Jordan
The impressive eastern entrance leads steeply down through a dark and narrow gorge (in places only 3-4 metres wide) called the Siq (the shaft), a natural geological feature formed from a deep split in the sandstone rocks and serving as a waterway flowing into Wadi Musa. At the end of the narrow gorge stands Petra's most elaborate ruin, Al Khazneh (the Treasury) hewn directly out of the sandstone cliff.

Γειά σου Γιάννη,
Το μέρος αυτό είναι συναρπαστικό και εσύ το έχεις αποδώσει με πολύ όμορφο τρόπο. Πολύ καλή και η ιδέα να χρησιμοποιήσεις τα όρια του φαραγγιού σαν κάδρο. Με αυτό το τρόπο δίνεις πολύ καλή προοπτική και βάθος. Πολύ καλή δουλειά, μπράβο!!

Απίστευτο μέρος η Πέτρα ε; Είναι ν' απορείς πώς το έφτιαξαν όλο επάνω στο βράχο! Απίστευτο!

Εξαιρετική σύνθεση, κι όπως λέει και ο Γιάννης από πάνω, όμορφη ιδέα να χρησιμοποιήσεις το φαράγγι σαν φυσικό πλαίσιο. Τα χρώματα και ο φωτισμός μια χαρά.

Well this photo is just amazing! How they carved this stone into dwelling places is far beyond my abiliiity to create anything out of stone. And to think its has lasted this long too. Amazing capture through this channel. Great work! And thanks for stopping by my gallery!

Marvelous perspective; I like the window sensation, details and colours.
