Damascus
Among some important markets in Damascus is Al-Hamidieh market extending from Bab Al-Nasr on the west to the Omayyad mosque. Its history goes back to the year 1863 A.D. and is covered by a metal roof full of small holes. The market is famous for its shops for selling garments, clothes and traditional industries.
This market is famous for its small shops for the sale of all kinds of spices, perfumes, almonds, pistachio and bonbons.

Market is usually one of those places you definately have to visit in each country as it shows the true side of daily life, in my opinion. Unfortunatelly, I can't understand what's written on those price tags, thus, I'd be lost there in Damascus! :)
Nice shot, Kris!

As I belong to a land where olive oil is almost a religion, I have to say that I love your picture. Besides, the face of the boy is great. Congratulations and join the Mediterranean sea, the true paradise.
