Photographer's Note
This is not a recently taken picture, on the contrary it’s even one of my first experiments with the 75-200mm Leica Zoom. The girl in red was posing for me between the courtyard columns of the Blue Mosque also called Sultanahmet Mosque in Istanbul. The camera was on a tripod and during the long exposure I played the focal lens.

merhaba izzet, i cas see that from time to time everyone has a bow towards little experiment - this one is not a small one at all, this is quite an "innovative approach to the one of the most famous mosques in the world" i'd say, and i like it a lot, very very nice

Quite a challenge for us here Izzet, with no note, quite hard aorking out what's going on, and maybe more of a shot for TL, but what a great shot. Some extremely good control of something here (is it the camera or PP), probably the camera. Must make way in my favourites for this one.

Hello Izzet,
Excellente composition !

Excellente photographie.
Très amicalement.

I have to agree: very original and stunning. I've tried this sort of approach a few times, but never came up with anything exciting. Your shot has a very surreal and abstract quality to it and it...well...looks great. Excellent work!
BTW: I just picked up a copy of Lonely Planet's book "One Planet" and saw some of your shots there...congrats, they are just amazing.

One of the disadvantages of a small p&s camera is that I can't try experiments like this, and I would love to.
I have seem number of shots using this techniques and I am not sure if any was better than this, number of the once I like, which were suffesfull, have portrayed movement, dance, this one is different and unique, not only by the fact that the technique is used, but also because of the subject of the photo that the technique was used for.
Very interesting and successfull.
For me personally the image is not about blow up as the title would suggest, for me it's more about time....

A good experiment and you got this nice contrast with the red girl in this sea of vertical lines and blues, the speed accelration with converging lines, a very good graphical.

Wow! What a splendid photo! The image is stunning. The shadows of the columns cast mysterious effect that is redoubled by the image of the model. Graphic creativity. The image reminds me of the feeling I had as child reading of adventure stories on discovering unknown pyramids and graves...

Ah, Izzet... I haven't seen this shot yet, but my jaw is dropped, dropped, and dropped even lower... this is mystery itself, pure poetry, beauty, vision. This is a painting, a poem, a prophecy.
All of them.
Breathless,
