Photographer's Note
Bafa Lake is located within the borders of (Soke District of) Aydın and Mugla Provinces in Turkeys Aegean Region.
Bafa Lake was an ancient gulf which used to be a part of Aegean Sea. Herakliea, a Carian port, takes place within the borders of the Lake, at the south west foot of Besparmak-(Latmos)Mountains. As result of geomorphologic development of Great Menderes Delta the region turned to be a lake.
The settlement in the area goes back to 2000 B.C.
In 1994, in order to protect the historical and natural values of the area it had been taken under the status of Natural Park.

Hem açı, hem de zamanlama açısından çok güzel bir resim. Zira güneşi tam bulutla gökyüzü arasındaki sınırda yakalamışsınız. Aşağıya inen ışık demeti, güneşin göle yansıması çok güzel. Sadece sandalın hemen üzerindeki hafif fluluğun ne olduğunu anlayamadım.

Hello Selen,
In the random order that your photo appear, this astonishingly beautiful photo appeared of Bafa Lake -- photographed fifteen months ago. The citadel(?) in the distance is seen in profile, in one of the most compelling sunset photos I've seen. The note is informative, as usual, and joy to behold.
I have not seen you on TE for a very long time?!?
