The rock formations are quite strange. A good photograph that teaches us about them.

Hello Geof,
They look a bit like magic mushrooms ;-) The composition is good with the surrounding trees. However, the lighting looks flat and there seems to be quite a bit of grain, particularly in the sky. Nevertheless, good documentary image.

Hi Geof
I visited Cappadocia in April. It was a great experience seeing the rock formations, and the churches hewn out of the landscape. Your picture is great though it does have a lot of contrast. This is not surprising with Fuji Velvia. I like the composition and good colouring too. Nice work.

Hi Geof. Nice capture of these strange formations. I love the little yellow tree in the foreground, I thinks it adds a nice contrast for the rocks. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Geof - oh wow, the early autumn colour looks wonderful here, the sideways lighting helped alot, and the formations are fascinating. The "state" should be Nevsehir, and the locality either Urgüp or Göreme.
