Photographer's Note
Another scene from the beautiful Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
On my way out from this beautiful building, I suddenly saw some shadows. It was a narrow spot of sunlight creating perfect silhouettes of people passing by. I took a few frames, one of this cleaning guy.
Quite o contrast to the marble and gold!

Oh, Goran, this is so strong!
The b&w treatment makes these strong contrasts of shape and mood! It is, also, quite scary, for the bowed headed cleaner appears to be suspended from the neck by a rope! It is only as you scroll up the picture that you realise the 'rope' is not continuous.
A very atmospheric shot, really well composed.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hello Goran,
I got the shock of my lifetime when I saw this monochrome thumbnail. As I was clicking on it, I was thinking how was this shot allowed by the moderator. I scrolled down to your note first, there was no reference to the gory incident I was hoping to see. Then I saw your picture..hmm relief. His head posture and the stick of his broom caught me off-guard. :-)
Thanks for the shock and relief.
Regards,
Subho

Hello Goran,
the silhouetted figure of the man against the light BG gives the image a nice sense of drama especially as you have converted it to BW.
Very imaginative work.

Hej Göran,
En smart och påpasslig komposition, men bilden ser ju onekligen otäck ut vid en första snabbtitt.
Hälsningar,
Gert

WOW! Amazing B&W presentation. Great sharpness and details. The posture makes it perfect. Looks like little bit tilted. Was it on purpose?
Congrats!

Ciao Goran
molto efficace come foto, attira molto l'attenzione, anche se ho avuto l'impressione che si trattasse di un impiccato che cammina...
Bellissimo scatto, complimenti.

Hi Goran
a superb man's silhouette seeming to walk on the water. th eonly "problem" is that your picture is too high and we have to scroll down to see it entirely, or reduce the scale to 50% (it's not an improvement from TE to accept vertical pictures of 1500 pixels!)
warm regards

Hello Goran
Indeed, what a contrast. And one that has led you, sensibly to choose monochrome. This is moody and atmospheric. The pose and the downward slant of the head speak volumes about this man's life, or at least seem to do so. Interesting thin crop too. I'm not sure about the new size allowance on this site: I have to scroll around the image as I can't see it all on screen at once.

Ciao dear Goran
A very suggestive and evocative photo. It is very artistic and I love the silhouettes. Great choice the B&W which emphasises the plays of light and shade, aswell as the graphism of the floor. I also like the vertical frame you chose. Well done, a top quality photo.
Warmest wishes
Lisa
