Photographer's Note
The boardwalk paths in Point Pelee National Park wind on and on through the marshlands. The park occupies the southern most point on the Canadian mainland. The area is considered one of the finest bird watching areas anywhere. It is also a fine place to find amphibians and reptiles and is a major stopping point for migrating Monarch Butterflies as well as for thousands of migrating Geese and ducks.

nice image. i would've inscreased a bit the dof as in the background it looks abit flat to me. otherwise i like the saturated colour of the sky and the path curving up gently and leading your eyes.

The heavy saturation has worked here i think, i like how the clouds and path both work together, although i think it might need a bit more path, but not at the expense of the sky. Good texture on the planks. Good photo.

This picture is like a hybrid of The Wizard of Oz and Lord of the Rings. I think your composition is very good and the sky is great, especially with the clouds going the same way as the path. I find the colours a bit off-putting - maybe too much contrast, or maybe just difficult to get correct exposure in direct sunlight? Quite noisy too (though I actually like the grain in the sky).

As Whereami said, wizard of Oz is here. I also think about a belgium painter : Magritte. The heavy saturation, the simplicity of lines, the little tuch of clouds give to this pic a surrealist atmosphere.

No it's completely the Hobbit, as you suggest in the title! :o) I love Pelee, and I know the colors are not nearly so harsh - it's a soft swamp, and I think the picture would have been better a little softer. Not so sharp and or dark. Great curve off into the unknown.

great note,Paul.I saw the last page of your pictures & liked this one the most..for the turn adds mystery to the picture.
I like the greens weren't so dark but yet your shot works well!

Perhaps the darkness also adds to the grainy effect in the sky. I would have done it with slightly less contrast. However, I must say this is also how I imagine parts of Canada! Good representation, well done.

I like the high contrast and the hard light. I would prefer less grain and more clouds in the top but still it is a great composition!

Nice, looks like something from a fairy tale! You could try Neat Image on the sky to remove the grain. But the grain actually fits this picture.

We want to follow the way ! We can feel mystery in this picture, we can feel the future in motion, first turning right, but after : where, what, how ?

Paul, I like this photo very much, simple yet effective, colours and saturation are right on, and the path allows us to ask what's beyond. I also like how dark the grass is, add abstract qualities to the image and makes wonder what creatures are hiding behing (and according to your description a whole lot is going on over there.

i really like your photo...the fact that you took the photo of the path when is was turning was very wise of you as it adds an effect of endlesness, as mentioned in your title...however, it is a bit noisy, although it adds an interesting effect...i allowed myself to decrease the noise with Neat Image...i have not decreased it a lot because i think it is important for the photo...let me know what you think...

I like the contrast you get between the so-blue and clear sky and the so-black and dark grass.
A good composition.
