Photographer's Note
I took this photo on a day trip to Niagara falls from Toronto with some friends. For no adequately explained reason, the coach stops in the nearby town of Niagara, and there's the choice of another bus or a half hour walk to Niagara Falls themselves. We chose to walk, first going through Niagara. To our surprise, although Niagara Falls is bustling with hotels and arcades, the town is very run down and neglected. I spotted this restaurant - probably bottom on my list of places to eat out, and thought it might make a good album cover. As I was lining up the photo the gentleman in the centre popped out, and began to look very unimpressed. I hastily took the photo, then caught up with my friends. For the next five minutes, every time I looked back, the guy was following us. Scarey!
The original photo is colour, but extremely overexposed. I spent some time playing around with the colours, before deciding to try and make it sepia. My software package doesn't have a sepia option, so this is a black and white image laid over a yellow-enhanced version.

Great story! I like the sepia tones, it makes the shot more dramatic.

I like the story that the picture tells just when I look at the it, as well as the story you tell in your note. The colours (or lack of them) give the photo a nice olden and "serious" look. However I think it lacks a little contrast and sharpness. I'm going to try a WS.
